Kure Beach Street Festival

Spring is in full swing, and in Kure Beach that’s reason enough to celebrate. Join us for the annual Kure Beach Street Festival, which returns this year on Saturday, April 27. Clear your calendar to enjoy a day full of free live music and children’s entertainment as well as the opportunity to purchase a variety of delicious food and handmade goods from local artisans. Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the picturesque Ocean Front Park, 105 Atlantic Ave., which offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Kure Beach Fishing Pier from its open-air pavilion. Both residents and visitors are invited to spend some time by the sea soaking up the sun and fun.

Attendees of all ages can dance along to the Funk, Motown, and Soul sounds of Carl Newton’s Review; and the kids won’t want to miss special performances by the popular No Sleeves Magic:

11:00 a.m.       Carl Newton’s Review

12:00 p.m.       No Sleeves Magic – Ninja Show

1:00 p.m.         Carl Newton’s Review

2:30 p.m.         No Sleeves Magic – Carnival Show

3:30 p.m.         Carl Newton’s Review

True to Kure Beach’s family-friendly, small-town atmosphere, the festival will also have plenty of attractions to keep the little ones busy and happy. From noon to 4 p.m. in the lawn, children can enjoy free face painting from Events by P3 and craft making with materials and guidance generously donated by The Home Depot.

There will be over 35 vendors offering a diverse assortment of goods, including jewelry, home decor, local photography, original paintings, soaps, candles, wines and more. In addition to our local restaurants and shops, we’ll have food trucks and vendors to satisfy your food cravings: Poor Piggy’s Food Truck, Taqueria Mi Lupita Food Truck, Firehouse Kettle Korn, and Kona Ice.

The Kure Beach Street Festival is planned each year for the last Saturday in April. This year’s event is possible due to the following generous sponsors: A&G Bar-B-Q and Chicken, Allstate LagomarAger AgencyDuke Energy, Engineering Services, Farriss Hospitality, Freddies Restaurante, Good Hops Brewing, Home Depot Store #3609 Myrtle Grove, Ida Thai Cuisine, Islander Kwik Mart, Local Government Federal Credit Union, and Wells Construction Corp.
