Tamara leads this one hour class that will guide students through seated yoga postures, stretches, breathing techniques and meditation. Chair Yoga is perfect for anyone wanting to practice yoga without having to get down onto the floor. More challenging postures using the chair will be offered as students advance in their practice making this class suitable for even the experienced yogi. Students should bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle. Come “get fit where you sit”!
Kure Beach Yoga consists of Instructors Carla Ann Drummond, Meg Young, Tamara Cairns, and Paula Huffman. They have teamed up to offer a variety of dynamic yoga classes at the Kure Beach Community Center! They’re excited to offer “pay what you can” options and affordable class passes. The Kure Beach Community Center is a clean & modern space that offers free parking just a block from the ocean. Yoga classes are open to everyone and no pre-registration is required. All instructors are experienced & knowledgeable, 200 hour trained Yoga Teachers (RYT 200). You can find the class schedule and other updates on Facebook at ‘Kure Beach Yoga’.
Evening classes are “pay what you can” (suggested donation $5-10).
Daytime classes are $10 drop-in or purchase a 10 class pass for $85.
